Dr. Umesh Patinjarekandy is a specialist ophthalmologist with more than 30 years of extensive experience in the field of Ophthalmology. Dr. Umesh’s illustrious medical journey began with his graduation from Calicut Medical College in Kerala, where he laid the foundation for his medical career. Subsequently, he pursued advanced studies and earned a Master of Surgery degree from the prestigious Grant Medical College in Mumbai.
He embarked on his professional journey at AKG Co-operative Hospital in Kannur, showcasing his early dedication to the field. Later, in 2000, he made a significant move to Al-Shifa and EMS Co-operative Hospital in Perinthalmanna, Kerala, where he began his groundbreaking work in Phacoemulsification surgery. During this period, he also pioneered innovative procedures for ocular surface disorders, including AMT.
In 2006, Dr. Umesh’s expertise led him to Vasan Eye Care Hospital in Calicut. Over the span of 11 years, he not only excelled in Phacoemulsification surgery but also underwent comprehensive training and mastery of advanced refractive surgery procedures such as LASIK, PRK, Supracor, ICL, and C3R.
Over the past 12 years, Dr. Umesh has been the distinguished Chief Consultant Surgeon in Calicut and Kannur, Kerala, India.
